The ‘Mechanical Olive Tree’ lifts its third trophy in eight years at the expense of Inter Movistar
MADRID, 12 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Jaén Paraíso Interior defeated Inter Movistar (1-3) this Sunday in the final of the Spanish Cup held at the Palacio de los Deportes in Granada, thus prolonging their idyll with the tournament with their third title in the last eight years .
The ‘Olivo Mecánico’, three out of three in the finals, showed its status as a cupbearer team in the reissue of the 2018 final that the Andalusian team also signed up for. Inter, the most successful team in the Cup, had just eliminated Barça but ran into the Jaén bone.
Dani Rodríguez’s men got the final on track thanks to Alan Brandi, who scored a great Vaseline goal. However, Fits, tireless in his offensive work, made it 1-1 before the break. In the second half, a spectacular volley from Chino and another from Alan Brandi sealed the victory for the Andalusians.
