The Garuba Rockets remain winless in 2023 and have a string of ten consecutive defeats

MADRID, 16 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Houston Rockets continues without knowing the victory in 2023, after adding against the Los Angeles Clippers their tenth consecutive loss (121-100), in which it was not the best night for the Spanish power forward Usman Garuba, who was left without scoring, despite participating more than 14 minutes on track.

The Rockets celebrated their last win on December 26 against the Chicago Bulls, as of that date, they have only chained losses. Thus, their poor balance is 10-33, to place last in the Western Conference, three victories behind the San Antonio Spurs, who are penultimate.

Houston competed the first three quarters, reaching the final set just one down (91-90) on the scoreboard, without the suspended Jalen Green and Jae’Sean Tate, although with a toned Eric Gordon (24 points). But they fizzled out in the end, with a 30-10 run against them that put an end to their much-needed aspirations. Garuba had a leading role in terms of minutes on court, but he missed his only shot and added 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a block.

In the Clippers, still without Paul George, Terance Mann (31 points and 6 rebounds) and Kawhi Leonard (30 points and 6 rebounds) were the most outstanding to never lose face in a very even game. They are sixth in the West (23-22), in their second win in the last nine games.
