Luis Enrique gives this Friday the list for the duels of Switzerland and Portugal with doubts above and behind

MADRID, 15 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The national men’s soccer coach, Luis Enrique Martínez, will give this Friday the list of summoned for the League of Nations matches against Switzerland and Portugal, with doubts mainly in the attacking and defensive parts.

Spain will face the Swiss team on September 24 at La Romareda in Zaragoza and three days later they will visit their neighbor in the Portuguese town of Braga, in what will be their last matches before the World Cup in Qatar in November, so that this call could throw some clue.

Regarding his last list in May, the Asturian coach will surely retouch his offensive part where he has safe casualties due to injury to two regular theoreticians such as Dani Olmo (Leipzig) and Gerard Moreno (Villarreal) and also Rául de Tomás has not played yet this season after his controversial departure from Espanyol, like Marco Asensio, with a few minutes with Real Madrid.

This could cause Luis Enrique to look for new alternatives for his striker and it could be an opportunity for both Borja Iglesias (Betis) and Iago Aspas (Celta), after both have started the season very well in LaLiga Santander, while Yéremi Pino (Villarreal) could also return after missing the previous list due to injury. Outside of Spain, Rodrigo Moreno (Leeds) is injured and Ferrán Jutglà has started very well with Bruges and could be an alternative.

The coach can also offer his plans at a defensive level, especially with the competitive left back, where the one who seemed to be fixed, Jordi Alba, is not having much participation in this start of the campaign with FC Barcelona. Precisely, one of those who has taken away minutes is Marcos Alonso, one of the tricks for that position along with that of Valencian José Luis Gayà.

In the center of defence, the player from Gijón will still not be able to count on Aymeric Laporte (Manchester City), who is still out due to injury, while in midfield, the best news will be the return of Pedri González (FC Barcelona) , who was not in the last due to injury. Thiago Alcántara (Liverpool) has not been able to play much for Liverpool after recovering from injury and Carlos Soler has barely participated since he signed for PSG.

As usual, Luis Enrique will offer his squad for these two games starting at 11:30 a.m. through the national team’s official media, and an hour later he will appear before the media at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas (Madrid).
