MADRID, 20 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Valencia CF won this Monday against Levante UD in the Ciutat de València (3-4) an electric Valencian derby and one of those who make fans, which allows the ‘che’ to remain very close to Europe and leaves even more bottom and touched a Levante that continues without winning in the absence of a duel to close the first round of LaLiga Santander.
It was in April of this year the last time Levante won in LaLiga, last season. So far this season, 8 draws and 10 defeats, the last tonight against his neighbor and letting a 2-0 escape that was accompanied by chances and great football.
Valencia came back, who did not stop believing in their possibilities, thanks to two doubles. With a penalty goal, the same way that Levante opened the scoring, and three real goals from Carlos Soler, one, and two for an unleashed Gonçalo Guedes.
The last goal of the Portuguese put a 2-4 that seemed definitive, but already in the discount the Levante scored the 3-4 by way of Bardhi, who came in as a refreshment. Somewhat validated in the VAR and that gave the ‘granota’ two or three minutes to seek a tie that no longer came for Alessio Lisci’s.
And that Rubén Vezo had it in his head, but Jasper Cillessen stopped the ball. It was a crazy derby, and it was until the final whistle. Seven goals, with penalties and use of the VAR, with clear chances and balls to the wood, with changes of dominance on the scoreboard … Complete derby, of ’10’ for fans ‘granota’, ‘che’ and fans of any other team.
With this 3-4, Levante continues without raising its head, bottom with only 8 points and 6 from the penultimate classified and salvation with 7 units. For its part, Valencia remains seventh but with 28 points, one less than the European zone and two from the ‘Champions’, a goal in which they believe more firmly after what happened at their neighbor’s house.
In the first half (2-1) Levante was clearly better, who could have scored the third goal in one of Morales or Roger Martí’s careers. But from the possible 3-0 it went to 2-1 and, in the second half, history repeated itself; stick for the Levante and a penalty against the back of Valencia, with a draw thanks to the success of Carlos Soler.
It was Soler himself who consummated the comeback in 72 ‘, when Guedes saw a precious gap in the Levante defense to assist him and Soler, first and just as the ball was coming, spliced a strong shot that doubled Cárdenas’s glove. The ball was stopped only by the local nets.
And Guedes was the protagonist in the first goal, which allowed the comeback to begin, with a real goal. A book wall to send a whiplash to the back of the net and get your team back into the derby. So much so that a minute later the tie was close, but the ‘granota’ bailed water in time.
It was not like that in the resumption and, already with 2-3 on the scoreboard, Guedes once again worked magic in a against Valencia CF with Marcos André in the long run. He saw Guedes, he assisted the Portuguese player and he, touched by the ‘wand’, cut inwards, leaving the scoreboard and rival goalkeeper on the ground to score at will and ‘almost’ sentence the game.
