A tragedy has struck a minor baseball player’s family. His family including his wife, son, and mother in law were murdered in rural Virginia on Tuesday. Cops suspect the involvement of his brother in law in the gruesome murder.
The incident took place at Keeling in Virginia. The police launched a three-hour manhunt for nabbing the suspected killer. He was later nabbed and has been imposed with a charge of three counts f murder of the first-degree nature.
The tragedy has struck Blake Bivens who is a Tampa Bay Rays minor leaguer. The 19-year-old Matthew Bernard, who is Bivens’ late wife’s brother has been apprehended by the police, as per Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office. The details about the identity and motive of the murder have not yet been released by the Sheriff’s office.

The statement from Tampa Bay Rays said, “Our hearts are broken for Blake. We are grieving with him and will support him any way we can. We ask that everyone respect the privacy of the Bivens family and the Biscuits family during this extremely difficult time,”

The team Montgomery Biscuits with which Bivens plays cancelled its match with Chattanooga Lookouts on Tuesday in view of the tragedy that has hit one of its players.
