Xavi: 600 days undefeated in Qatar

Xavi Hernández’s Al Sadd celebrates 600 days this Thursday without losing a match in the QSL (Qatar Stars League). An absolute record in Qatar of 34 consecutive games undefeated, with a balance of 30 wins and 4 draws, a total of 113 goals for and only 28 against.

And is that Xavi’s last defeat in the QSL dates back to March 7, 2020 when he lost 1-0 to Al Rayyan. From there, a total of 34 games without losing, with a winning percentage of 88% and an average of 3.3 goals per game, absolutely spectacular figures.

There is no doubt that Xavi is the paradigm of a winning coach, as evidenced by the fact that he has won seven titles in a hundred games. In fact, his numbers since managing Al Sadd are simply exemplary: 66 wins, 16 draws and 18 losses, with a total balance of 273 goals for and 126 against.

It remains to be seen if Saturday will be his last game at the helm of Al Sadd. That day, the team plays at home against Al Ahli. Although it could wait until November 3, when Al Sadd face second, Al Duhail, with the aim of leaving the team with the QSL on track, as they currently lead the table three points behind Al Duhail.

In this third season with Al Sadd he is completing the perfect campaign: seven games, seven victories and a title already in the bag, the Emir Cup. Solo leader in the QSL and dominating soccer team in his country.
