The North American team added his first and so far only participation in the European Super Cup, during the 2019 edition, in which Chelsea fell against Liverpool, precisely in the duel in which Pulisic made his presentation with the London team, after arriving from Borussia Dortmund.

In that edition, disputed in Istanbul, Pulisic started for the first time with Chelsea and gave his first assist, for Olivier Giroud to take the lead on the scoreboard, before Liverpool tied the score and took the European Super Cup, by beating the team that at that time was led by Frank Lampard, in the penalty shootout.

Pulisic failed to win the first title he played since joining Chelsea and kept that 'curse', in the two subsequent FA Cup finals, In which he also fell and ended with lifting the UEFA Champions League, in which he became the second American player to win it and with which his squad won the right to have a rematch within the Super Cup.
