The Seville returns today to in Lagos, Portugal, the place where Julen Lopetegui lived his first days as a coach Sevilla in the summer of 2019. That concentration set the team bases that in a season later marked by the pandemic he would achieve 4th place in LaLiga and, above all, the Sixth Europa League in the final in Cologne, against Inter. Like then, they will be there again for a week.
Of the July 6 to 13, 2019 the Nervionenses players exercised on the soccer field of the Cascade Wellness Resort from this pretty Algarve town. Sergio Rico, Alfonso, Javi Díaz, Lucho García, Corchia, Carriço, Koundé, Diego Carlos, Wöber, Gnagnon, Aleix Vidal, Sergi Gómez, Escudero, Arana, Reguilón, Amadou, Roque Mesa, Jordán, Banega, Juanpe, Franco Vázquez, Ocampos, Mena, Pozo, Lara, Nolito, Munir, Dabbur and Luuk de Jong were the 29 men who landed in Lagos that July 6. Jesús Navas, Vaclik, Kjaer and Ben Yedder joined later, although the Danish and French left Sevilla that summer. There are barely 10 of those left in the team but the most don't count and they won't be in for a few weeks.
