Rogério Ceni resigns at Flamengo

The Flamengo announced this Saturday the departure of the technician Rogério Ceni, who had assumed the position last December and who had an uneven performance at the head of that Brazilian soccer club.

In a message posted on social media, the Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro thanked Ceni the services provided and wished him success in his next functions.

He also pointed out that in the team's next game, which will be played this Sunday against the Chapecoense at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, the Flamengo will be directed by Maurício Souza.

Under the technical direction of Ceni, the Flamengo it has achieved 23 victories, 11 defeats and 10 draws in the 44 games played.

He is currently in the middle of the Brazilian league table, with twelve points and seven games played. The classification is headed by the Bragantino, with 21 points and nine games played.

Ceni, a 48-year-old exporter, had come to Flamengo from the Strength.

Local media point to the possibility that the replacement of Ceni be Renato Gaucho, who until last April directed the Grêmio, which occupies the last place in the Brazilian league, with two points and seven games played.
