MADRID, 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
German tennis player Alexander Zverev beat Russian champion Daniil Medvedev (6-4, 6-4) this Sunday to win the ATP Finals, the Masters Cup, for the second time in his career.
Zverev, champion of the tournament that brings together the best 8 in 2018, was the best again three years later at the end of the season in Turin. The German reached the level again to knock down the number one, Novak Djokovic, and the Russian, number two, in the semifinals and final.
Against Medvedev, the German had a perfect serve, without facing any ‘break’ ball, and a brilliant game to dethrone the Russian with authority in just over an hour. For the 24-year-old Zverev, this is the sixth title of 2021 (6-0 in finals) and the 19th of his career.
