The German tennis player Alexander Zverev, the American Taylor Fritz and the Australian Alexei Popyrin conquered this Sunday the ATP titles in Hamburg (Germany), Atlanta (United States) and Umag (Croatia), respectively.
After 30 years, a local hero ended the wait in Hamburg. Zverev put on an exhibition to triumph in his hometown with a 7-5, 6-3 defeat of Serb Laslo Djere to win his first title since the 2021 ATP Finals, his 20th title.
Similarly, Fritz triumphed at home with a 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-4 win over Australian Aleksandar Vukic, displaying an intractable serve like the rest of the week, although his opponent didn’t make it easy either. . The American achieved the second title of 2023 after Delray Beach and the sixth in total.
