Zverev and Tsitsipas, to rooms

The German Alexander Zverev defeated the Australian Alex de Miñaur 6-3 and 7-6 (5) in the first match of the day on the center court. In this way, the number two in the world continues without giving up any set so far in the tournament.

The first of the sets really got to his face. He quickly placed himself with 5-1 in favor, to later take it 6-3. Already in the second, De Miñaur did bring out his tennis despite the German going 3-1 after breaking his serve. Finally, the finalist in Madrid won the match in the tie-break.

His next rival will be Cristian Garín. The Chilean has been proclaimed the winner in the duel against the Croatian Marin Cilic 6-3, 3-6 and 6-4. It will be at 11:00 in the Grand Stand Arena.

Tsitsipas tira de remontada

The world number five had to put on overalls to beat Russian Karen Khachanov 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 in their round of 16 match of the tournament held at the Foro Italico.

The Athenian started the first set badly giving up a serve but quickly equalized it. With the score at 4-4, the Russian ended up taking the first of three sets.

It was there when the Greek took out his best tennis and the result was proof of it. He endorsed a blank set (6-0) to take the duel to the final round. In this, with the momentum that dragged, he was placed with 3-0 to put everything on his face. Finally, the Greek closed the game with a 6-3.

Jannik Sinner will be his rival in the quarterfinals. The native of San Cándido eliminated Serbian Filip Krajinovic in two sets (6-2 and 7-6(6)) in just under two hours. The match between the Italian and the Greek will be no earlier than 12:45 on Center Court.
