MADRID, 9 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Zaragoza debuted the latest renovations at La Romareda with a crushing victory over Elche (3-0) in the most important match of Sunday in matchday 4 of LaLiga Hypermotion, while in the rest of the three matches of the day only two goals were seen.
The duel between two historic teams of Spanish football, Zaragoza and Elche, both with a history in the First Division, was undoubtedly won by the Aragonese. In the first half, the Elche team held out until Mario Soberón took advantage of a defensive error in the 36th minute to give the Aragonese team the lead.
Josan came close to equalising for Elche, with a powerful diagonal shot that nobody touched or brushed despite passing through a forest of players. The score did not change until the second half, after Óscar Plano left Elche with one less man by stepping on an opponent.
Éder Sarabia’s men, with one less player, resigned themselves to seeing Zaragoza go from strength to strength, growing as the minutes passed. And it was Soberón, again, in the 67th minute who managed to extend the score with a header almost from a long cross, which Francho Serrano closed in the 83rd minute with a long shot, leaving the 3 points for Víctor Fernández’s men, who continue to lead the Second Division with 3 wins and a draw.
The rest of the matchday saw fewer goals. In Ferrol, Racing and Mirandés drew 0-0 in a match dominated by Miranda de Ebro’s team but without any luck in front of goal at A Malata. For Racing de Ferrol, striker Bebé made his debut, but his team was unable to create any danger against a Mirandés team that added its third draw, still unbeaten, while Racing Ferrol remains without a win.
Levante UD did so at FC Cartagena (0-1) thanks to a solitary goal from their captain José Luis Morales, in the 28th minute, finishing off a good counterattack by the ‘granota’ with a cross shot. Valencia are fourth, with 8 points, while the Murcians, who were unable to draw in the rest of the match, remain close to the red zone, with only one victory.
And with another solitary goal CD Eldense beat Almería (1-0) at the Estadio Municipal Nuevo Pepico Amat in Elda, thanks to Juan Tomás Ortuño and his strike in the 84th minute. The Valencians continue in a state of grace at the start of LaLiga Hypermotion, with 7 points and in sixth place, while Almería cannot lift its head and is in the middle of the table, far from being able to fight for promotion.
