According to Montero, Marisa faced the diagnosis with great maturity despite her youth. “For important things, it is much stronger than for simple things,” he declared. Furthermore, he recalled how, even in critical moments, she showed admirable temperance. “It is a topic that has always been handled divinely,” he stated.

When she decided to open up publicly about her illness, Marisa, who recently turned 60 splendid years, showed a vulnerable and close side, but also made clear her combative nature. During the interview in Viva la vida, he explained how Myasthenia Gravis has influenced his life and the importance of making rare diseases like this visible. Marisa Martín Blázquez has not only dealt with this disease from an early age, but has also faced other personal adversities, such as a severe burn with boiling oil during her youth.
