“You have to beat Sevilla by civil or criminal”

Santi Comesana, Galician midfielder for Rayo Vallecano, acknowledged that his team is “in a very bad dynamic” as it is immersed in a six-game losing streak and eight games without winning and assured that the next day against Sevilla they must “win civilly or criminally.”

Rayo Vallecano is in a slump in results that has been going on since the Christmas break. Of the eight league games played this 2022 He has only added one point out of a possible twenty-four and has not won for two and a half months, since December 18, 2021 against Alavés.

“US it is costing a lot this 2022, we are not knowing how to compete. The last game with Cádiz was a set piece. They are leaving us in details and we are not having success up front. We are failing in the areas, we are not being forceful behind and we are not being forceful up front,” he said. Comesaña, in statements released by the club.

“We have to change the dynamic now because we are in a very bad dynamic and if we don’t want to get into trouble, we have to change it now. We weren’t that good before, and we aren’t that bad now.. Now what happens is that everything goes wrong for us. You have to change the chip and the mood now, “she confessed.

The bad dynamics of Rayo contrasts with the good performance that the team gave in the first half of the championship, in which they made Vallecas a stronghold and even got excited about goals greater than permanence, placing themselves in European positions.

“At home in the first round we had an incredible first round and now we are not getting the results at home and we have to change the dynamic, at home and away. We have to start winning now until the friendlies. Just like now everything is defeats and it seems that everything is bad, the moment you win a game it will give you the confidence to win again”, he pointed out.

The next league game is at home against Sevilla, second classified.

“Until we win, the bad streak will not go away. We can play very well at times and not win. As long as we don’t win, we won’t change the streak, but well, let’s see if we can get the three points against Sevilla for the civil or the criminal to change the dynamic now”he concluded.
