The third day of competition of the 53 Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca by Iberostar was marked this Wednesday by the general good progression of the top Spanish assets, second in the 470 mixed Jordi Xammar and Nora Brugman, while Gisela Pulido remains fourth in the women’s formula kite.
The embat, the Mallorcan sea breeze, blew again with medium intensity (10-13 knots), for the dispute of almost 60 tests between the ten disciplines and the different groups. Up to 850 boats and boards and 1,100 sailors representing 76 countries once again put on a great show in the bay of Palma.

The Spaniards Diego Botín and Florian Trittel, recent world bronze medalists, began their rise in the table and are now tenth, after scoring a partial victory and a ninth.
On the other hand, the young Mallorcan Nacho Baltasar, Spanish representative in Paris 2024, had a very good day, with splits of 5-3-5-8, and placed 17th in the men’s iQFOiL. In the women’s category, Pilar Lamadrid from Seville posted scores of 9-26-11-7 and rose four places in the table, to 17th position.
In addition, the Catalan Berni Cortés is 19th in formula kite, the Canarian Joaquín Blanco is the best Spaniard in ILCA 7, Paula Van Wieringen and Claudia Sobral fell to 30th position in the 49er FX and in ICLA 6 the Catalan Cristina Pujol climbed ten places in the gold group table, up to 44th place.
