Wu Lei turned 30 this Friday and he has celebrated it by training with his teammates at the RCDE Stadium. The Chinese striker has not been able to escape from the traditional ‘group’ in which he has received the ‘collejas’ of his classmates to congratulate him for their anniversary.
But Wu Lei is clear about his best gift, scoring a goal to Barcelona in the derby at the Camp Nou, this Saturday. The Chinese forward already knows what it is to ‘wet’ against the Catalans, since he already made his debut in a derby at the RCDE Stadium. The January 4, 2020, Wu became the first Chinese to score a goal for Barça, a great goal in the 87th minute of that game that saw Espanyol draw in extremis against the eternal rival (2-2). The target of the ‘7’ parakeet had a brutal media impact, through social networks, as it was seen by millions of viewers in China.
It has rained since then and Wu Lei faces a new derby although not in full conditions so a priori, it will not have many minutes. He is not having a presence with Vicente Moreno and in addition, he returned somewhat touched from his journey with his team, some annoyances, in principle, not worrying when dealing with ramps. The striker retired with a bunk after signing the tie with Australia. He has exercised without problems and already dreams of scoring Barça again, if he has minutes this Saturday at the Camp Nou. As always, Wu’s matches will be followed by millions of fans in the Asian giant where the parakeet is a star.
