The WTA continues to outline its schedule for the return of tennis following the coronavirus pandemic. The organization has announced two new tournaments in its planning for the second week of August to the previously designed calendar.
The two tournaments will be the Prague Open and the Top Seed Open in Lexington, Kentucky, to be held the week of August 10, just one week after the return of the circuit at the Palermo Ladies Open on August 3.
Steve Simon, WTA CEO, celebrated the inclusion of these two new tournaments. “As the return from competition in the WTA approaches, we are proud to add additional opportunities for our tennis player. We are delighted to welcome Prague and Lexington to the 2020 provisional schedule and cannot wait for the return of professional tennis. female”.
