‘Hansen’: “It is an accolade not only for our project, but for all of Spanish rugby”

The president of World Rugby, Bill Beaumont, will pay a visit to the Spanish Rugby Federation (FER) next week to strengthen its links with national rugby and “support” the federation’s strategic project, in what will mean a “support” for national rugby, according to a statement.
“Next week, the president of World Rugby, Sir Bill Beaumont, lands in Spain to begin a three-day visit whose objective is to learn first-hand about the latest developments in rugby in Spain and, particularly, to support the project and the most recent advances. carried out by the new directive of the FER”, announced the Federation this Thursday.
Beaumont will arrive in the Spanish capital on Monday, and on Tuesday a round of contacts with the most important Spanish sports institutions will begin, as well as other meetings with the different Madrid government authorities. Although the bulk of the day will be spent working with the president of the FER, Juan Carlos Martín ‘Hansen’, and his vice-presidents.
The visit of the person in charge of the highest international organization of rugby will end on Wednesday, recapitulating with the FER the most important issues of national rugby with a view to “continuing its development and expansion inside and outside” Spain.
In this sense, ‘Hansen’ is “very grateful for this visit, which is an endorsement” for his project and “all Spanish rugby”. “Let’s hope it’s the first of many,” the president wished.
“The meeting highlights the good institutional relations between FER and World Rugby in this new stage of the national oval and fulfills one of the promises of the new Federation directive to strengthen links with the highest levels of international sport and the rugby in particular”, concluded the statement issued by the FER.
