Women's tennis returns in the Czech Republic

The world of tennis is slowly recovering normality after the break caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Although the ATP and WTA have already announced that the competition will not return until after July 31, the great figures of tennis have already returned to training and they have even played matches in various exhibition tournaments.

If in Germany several tennis players on the men's circuit have already left us several clues on how the return to the circuit could be, In women's tennis, it has been the Czech Republic that has taken the step of advancing towards competition.

The Central European country, the birthplace of great rackets on the WTA circuit, is holding an exhibition tournament that brings together great figures such as Petra Kvitova, number 12 of the WTA ranking, which celebrated the return to games on social networks. “I feel very grateful to be able to play games again this week. Of course, the situation is different, but it sounds very good to say that I am going to play a final tomorrow,” the Czech stated.

Pliskova also returns to training

One of the great absences in this exhibition tournament has been that of Karolina Pliskova. The Czech, number 3 in the world, did not compete but has returned to training with his coach, the Spanish Daniel Vallverdú. “Coach is finally here! Let's hit some balls”, wrote the tennis player along with a selfie with the coach. Women's tennis continues to recover little by little.
