Wolves beat Everton and Trincao, applauded

The bad streak of Everton by Rafa Benítez He continued this Monday at the Molineux Stadium, where the Goodison Park team lost 2-1 against Wolves, far superior to the ‘Toffees’ in the first half, in which he scored his goals, the work of Max Kilman and Raúl Jiménez. Who did not score but played a great game was Francisco Trincao, loaned to Wolves by Barcelona and that he retired to an applause when he was replaced by Daniel Podence in the 79th minute.

The first to score was Hee-Chan Hwang, who was loaned out to Wolves by Leipzig, but his goal was disallowed in the 15th minute for offside. At 28 ‘Kilman made it 1-0 with a header off a corner served by Rayan Ait Nouri.

In the 32 ‘of a first period in which Everton, 10th and who has already had 4 games without winning, had no option against Wolves it was Raúl Jiménez’s turn, who took advantage of an error by the defense of the ‘Toffees’, specifically Ben Godfrey in his assignment and Mason Holgate by letting the Mexican forward go. Jiménez punched the ball with great quality.

Trincao shone in his boarding schools and Jordan Pickford, Everton’s goalkeeper, prevented, with a great save, the Portuguese winger on loan from Barcelona (starter instead of Adama Traoré) from scoring thanks to a great shot.

The second part was very different. Benítez’s Everton was transformed, not only because their game improved but also because their attitude did. Alex Iwobi managed to close the gap on 65 ‘, taking advantage of a Michael Keane ball, and Goodison Park’s men had chances to have drawn. But in the end Bruno Lage’s Wolves, 7th in the table, did not miss the victory.
