Wolfsburg pays the Darwin Núñez clause

Forward Darwin Núñez will not continue in Almería next season. As AS has learned, Wolfsburg has today deposited the Uruguayan's termination clause, which was about 20 million euros. This quantity it would have increased to 40 million if the Andalusian team had been promoted to First, but the defeat against Girona made the striker become a candy for the many clubs that were interested in hiring him.

The forward had not yet gone on vacation as he was working out his future. Yesterday he was on the beach of San Miguel with the general director, Mohamed El Assy, closing his exit. The Uruguayan, who arrived last summer from Peñarol, has been one of the great reasons why the Almeria team managed to qualify for the playoffs. With his 16 goals and 3 assists, has amazed many clubs, among them important European teams such as Benfica or Naples. In the end, Wolfsburg has been the one that has bet the strongest on the Uruguayan, who will try to continue to excel next season in the Bundesliga.
