Wimbledon | Barty and Pliskova, two first-timers in London in search of the title

Ashleigh Barty, world number one and Roland Garros champion in 2019, and Karolina Pliskova, who was the leader of the ranking in 2017 and a finalist in the US Open in 2016, will play the Wimbledon final this Saturday (15:00, #Come on). This experience in the British tournament is new for both and it will be the first time since 1977 that two debutants in the last match of the women's team fight to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish, a trophy with which the champion is awarded. 44 years ago, the British Virginia Wade and the Dutch Betty Stöve made their debut at the decisive event with the victory of the first. Ash aspires to make a double at Wimbledon of junior title (he won it in 2011) and senior.
