Willy Hernángomez leaves a great ‘double-double’, Ibaka gains prominence and Rubio continues on a streak

MADRID, 4 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Willy Hernangómez had the best individual performance of the Spanish players who participated in the NBA on Friday night and in which Rubio added a new victory with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Serge Ibaka had much more prominence in the Los Angeles derby.

The three enjoyed a good day in which they added all triumphs and in which the Madrid center of New Orleans Pelicans stood out, who clearly beat the Dallas Mavericks 91-107 at home.

Hernangómez left a great ‘double-double’ of 12 points, with 4/10 in shooting, and 14 rebounds, six of them offensive, to be the best rebounder of his team and in just 23 minutes of what was the rematch of the Pelicans, who a few days ago had lost to the ‘Mavs’ 107-139.

But this time New Orleans played much more solid, especially after the break, when they dislodged their rival with a 20-35 run that was key. Slovenian point guard Luka Doncic also made a ‘double-double’ with 21 and 10, in addition to seven assists, but he did not have his night in shooting (7/20) or in the direction (seven losses).

For his part, the Catalan point guard Ricky Rubio continues in a good dynamic with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who added their fourth consecutive victory to continue in the top positions of the Eastern Conference after also beating the Washington Wizards with authority 101-116.

The El Masnou game director continues without currently having his best scoring records and contributed, again coming off the bench, seven points, with a discreet 3/11 in shooting, but he directed his team well with six assists, in addition of four bounces. Darius Garland (32 points and 10 assists) and Jarret Allen (28 and 13 rebounds) were his best teammates.

Finally, the pivot Serge Ibaka had a lot of prominence in the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers derby, who opted for his team’s side for a tight 115-119 and in which the Hispanic-Congolese started and played 29 minutes , his most of the season.

Ibaka took advantage of his time on the court to show his good hand from the outside since his nine points came from the line of three, with an optimal 3/4, and also did damage in the offensive rebound, with three of his six sacks in the board of the locals to whom the good game of Anthony Davis (27 and 10) and LeBron James (23 and 11) was of no use.

– STATISTICS OF SPANISH PLAYERS.

WILLY HERNANGÓMEZ: 12 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block.

RICKY RUBIO: 7 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
