Willy Hernangómez continues without minutes with the Pelicans and Usman Garuba falls again in Sacramento

MADRID, 14 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish center Willy Hernangómez continues without minutes with the New Orleans Pelicans, who beat the Detroit Pistons this morning (110-116), in an NBA day in which Usman Garuba’s Houston Rockets fell again, this time against the Sacramento Kings (139-114).

At the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, the Rockets sealed their ninth consecutive loss to sink further into the last place in the Western Conference (10-32). The 27 points of Harrison Barnes and the spectacular ‘triple-double’ of the Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis (19+15+16), the third center in NBA history to make a 15+15+15 after Wilt Chamberlain and Nikola Jokic, guided to the local franchise.

The good performances of Jabari Smith and Jalen Green, with 27 goals each, were not enough for the Texans to have options. For his part, Usman Garuba from La Mancha had 16 minutes on track in which
he scored two points, grabbed three rebounds and provided an assist.

For his part, the center from Madrid Willy Hernangómez still does not count in the plans of Zion Williamson, who left him out by technical decision in the victory of the New Orleans Pelicans at the home of the Detroit Pistons (110-116), a result that keeps the Louisiana third in the Western Conference (26-17).
