Why Prince William and Kate Middleton are cutting back on their nanny and staff’s hours

Every public appearance by Kate Middleton becomes headline news. If her visit to the Olympic Village in Paris is confirmed, it would be her third official event in this difficult year for the princess in her battle against cancer. Kate, 42, posed on two previous occasions: at the Trooping The Colour parade and the Wimbledon final, which left us with those unique photos of the daughter-in-law of Charles III, smiling and in a bright green dress, presenting the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz. Throughout this process, Kate, immersed in her illness, has dedicated herself body and soul to caring for her children, her top priority. In recent weeks there have been some changes in her residence.

Since the beginning of this year, the crown princes have set up their headquarters at Adelaide Cottage, the bucolic historic house located in Windsor near the castle. There, William and Kate have domestic staff who take care of the home and the Spanish nanny Maria Turrión, who looks after little George, Charlotte and Louis, their routines, responsibilities and games.

Well, in recent weeks, the princes have chosen to cut the working hours of their trusted employees in order to get their children involved in the dynamics of the home. In the afternoons, the little ones must help with some household chores such as setting the table or clearing it when they finish dinner, according to the publication Daily MirrorKate wants to give her children a more personal upbringing, following the example of her parents, Michael and Carole.

Your vacation plan

A few days ago, Kate and William travelled to the island of Tresco, off Cornwall. A heavenly setting that is part of the 140 islands that make up the Scilly archipelago (Scilly Isles). There they stayed in the charming Dolphin House, owned by the King, and it is there that Kate photographed her eldest son, George, for his 9th birthday. By the way, to rent a similar property, you have to shell out around 3,000 euros a week. Another destination that awaits them is Anmer Hall, the country house in Norfolk, near Sandringham, a wedding gift from Elizabeth II to her grandson. And also, Balmoral, the Scottish castle that the Queen adored, where they will meet up with Charles and Camilla.
