When the 49ers were about to lose, they came back to beat the Lions and punch their Super Bowl ticket.

The San Francisco 49ers were in the NFC Championship for the third year in a row, but this was their first time playing at Levi’s Stadium.

They thought that having a home-field advantage would help them win and make it to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

The Detroit Lions played badly against the 49ers in the first half because they didn’t get the message.

Detroit was way better than everyone else. The 49ers will go to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2019 season if they win.

But these games are good for the 49ers because they showed last week in the division round that they can win.

Following a 17-point deficit in the subsequent half, San Francisco scored 27 straight points to win the NFC Championship Game 34–31 and earn a spot in the Super Bowl.

It will mark San Francisco’s eighth trip to the championship game. If they win, it will be their sixth title, tied with the Steelers or Patriots for the most ever.

Brock Purdy, the 49ers’ quarterback, played hard in the second half after a rough first half. He completed 20 of 31 passes for 267 yards as well as a touchdown. He also ran for 51 yards on scrambles, which helped move the chains.

The 49ers came back from being down 17 points at halftime to beat the Detroit Lions 34–31 in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk along with quarterback Brock Purdy did great things in the third quarter to help San Francisco win, denying the Lions their first trip to the Super Bowl.

The 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey scored twice. They will play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It will be a rematch of their Super Bowl game from four years ago.

The 49ers were the clear favorite for most of this season. They often got out to big leads quickly, making their opponents throw the whole second half, which put games out of reach.

Many people didn’t think the Niners were strong enough to win when the match was on the line because of the way they played.

A win over the Green Bay Packers last week wasn’t proof enough. The 49ers made it clear against the Lions on Sunday.

At halftime, the 49ers were down 17–0 and didn’t look like they had a good chance to get back into the game. But those veteran-led Niners never gave up.

They scored 27 straight points to tie the 2012 49ers for the greatest comeback in the history of the NFC Championship Game.

After a string of close calls and heartbreaking losses before the big game, the Niners will finally get their long-awaited chance to win their sixth Lombardi Trophy.

In a strange twist, they’ll be playing the Chiefs, who came back from behind to beat the Patriots in the fourth Super Bowl and set the Niners for a four-year journey to return to the league’s biggest stage.

The way the first half went was a surprise. The Lions led 24–7 going into the locker room. But in the second half, the 49ers scored 27 straight points and won 34–31.

When these two teams played in the playoffs in 1957, the 49ers were ahead 24–7 at halftime in San Francisco but lost 31–27. They played their last playoff game on the road.

During eight minutes in the third quarter, the Lions gave up 17 points. On fourth-and-2 at the San Francisco 28, they lost the ball when Josh Reynolds dropped an ideal throw from Jared Goff.

They also lost a fumble when the quarterback, Jahmyr Gibbs, didn’t get a clean handoff as well as couldn’t catch it.

The Lions also tried to go for it on fourth-and-3 from the San Francisco 30 via 7:38 left, but Goff’s pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown fell incomplete.

On the last play of the half, Goff threw a 3-yard pass to Jameson Williams on fourth down. That was the only point they scored.

After running the ball on third down near the goal line, the Lions enjoyed using one of their timeouts.
