When Embarba was Adrián

Espanyol's visit to Fuenlabrada will surely transport Adrian Embarba to another epoch not very far off in time but at the antipodes of life and the career that now leads to the extreme. In the 2011-12 season, a young Adrián (that's what he was called) was an inveterate dribbler who finished his youth stage (he went through Real Madrid, Alacalá and Getafe) and that football did not give him a chance in the professional world. Embarba had to seek life in the Third Division, where Fuenlabrada played precisely.

That 2011-12 season was a catharsis for the manchego and the Madrid club. Embarba decided to leave Madrid to play in the Marchamalo of Group XVIII, in Guadalajara, close to home. Sergio Rubio, a globetrotter from the Madrid benches, caught it. A return to the origins in which the extreme shone at his young age, with six goals, and helped the green club stay in the category.

The great season of Embarba took him back to Madrid. The end returned to be placed in the market of this community. Carabanchel could not coincide this time with Fuenlabrada, who rose the previous season, and the new Embarba teammates, who stayed three points from the playoff, came close to emulating him. The current Espanyol captain played 37 games and scored nine goals, becoming the star of the team.
