“We are not preparing for a penalty shootout”

In fact, he says that his team has not even rehearsed penalty kicks: “We are not preparing for a penalty shootout. That would mean that we assume a defeat,” he said this Wednesday at a press conference

Glasner has almost all his players available to face the visit of Betis: “With the exception of Ragnar Ache, all players have completed their final training. We have gained a lot of confidence in ourselves with past victories. However, after the 1-2 of the first leg there is another match. Now the important thing is to play this second match as well as the first. We maintain an intensive style, the players always go to the limit. I would like to give a big congratulations to our medical services, who have been working at full speed for the last few days and are doing a great job.”

The tecnico del unity explains how his team is facing the second leg: “We will put our game on the pitch. I think Betis is very sure with the ball and will have it again a little more. We are taking it easy, we want to play fast forward from good defense, not waiting and looking for victory. We play offense. That’s our strength in every game. The match is a highlight for all players and fans, regardless of what happened in the first leg. We don’t take the game lightly, the opponents are too good for that. We have to bring out our virtues on the pitch and get Betis out of the game”.

Glasner hopes to give fans a cheer of Eintracht, which will cover half of the stands of Deutsche Bank Park due to the restrictions that still exist in Germany: “We expect a half-full stadium with 25,000 fans, after enjoying the support of 4,000 fans in Seville. We want to offer Eintracht fans in the stadium a great evening of the Europa League”. The prevailing euphoria among the fans does not believe that it is counterproductive: “Euphoria can never be a disturbing factor. We are hungry to emotionally touch the fans, the city and the club.
