The Detroit Lions’ second-round game is the only one left to be settled. With their win over the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round on Sunday night, Detroit is already further along in the playoffs. With the Dallas Cowboys’ loss, Detroit has won a second home playoff game.

A lot of people think those are two of the worst teams in the NFC playoffs. The Buccaneers made the playoffs even though they had the poorest record among league teams (9-8) because they won the NFC South.

The Eagles had a pretty good season, going 11-6, but they’ve lost five of their last six games and don’t seem to have any answers on either side of the ball. The Philadelphia Eagles will play the winner of the final Wild Card game, which will be held at home.

In the wild-card round, the Birds lost to the Buccaneers 32–9 at Raymond James Stadium, which meant they were out of the playoffs.

The Eagles had a rough end to the season before the playoffs. They lost five of their last six regular-season games, and the loss that stopped the 2023 season showed how bad things got.

The Buccaneers were able to beat the Eagles no matter what they did. It could have been missed stops, bad game planning, bad play calling, or bad execution.

The blitz was hard for Jalen Hurts all night, even though he had hurt the middle finger on his throwing hand. He hit receiver Dallas Goedert on 25 of his 35 passes, giving him 250 yards and a score.

Even though DeVonta Smith enjoyed a great game, the Eagles missed A.J. Brown in the loss. Brown hurt his knee and couldn’t play, so Smith caught eight passes for 148 yards.

The Eagles’ defense was smashed all night through Baker Mayfield and the attack of Tampa Bay. Mayfield passed for three touchdowns, and Cade Otton, the tight end, had the most receptions for the Buccaneers.

After the season, the Eagles will have to make a lot of tough choices and answer a lot of questions. Eagles outstanding Jason Kelce, Fletcher Cox, and Brandon Graham may not play in another game for the team after the playoffs.

Already, Super Wild Party Weekend has produced some shocking wins. For example, the Packers beat the Cowboys badly in Dallas, and the Texans easily beat the Browns in Cleveland. Could yet another underdog win to end the first complete of the playoffs?

Even though it’s been a year since the Eagles and Chiefs played in the Super Bowl, they still look like a team that could be knocked out early.
