Wass: “Valencia is the one who decides my future”

Daniel
Wass has passed the ball of his future to Valencia. The versatile Danish player has already transferred to the club that, with just turned 32 and just one more season under contract, would not look down on returning to his country, given that there are a couple of very interested clubs, but he knows that it depends on the club facilitate that exit.

In an interview this week with the Danish newspaper BT, Wass already advanced that intention of putting the club in an ‘obligation’ to decide by transferring the will of an entity interested in paying a small compensation for his departure.

“Everything is interesting and of course I want to hear everything, but I still have my contract, so it is Valencia who decides my fate,” he said.

Months ago from the Mestalla club it was leaked that talks had begun to extend his contract with the club and he himself was willing to do so but the agreement did not materialize and that has led Wass to consider returning home.

“Of course it is great to be abroad and play against the best teams and players, but I have reached the point where I think if it is the right moment or if I should wait,” reflected the versatile Danish player.

Wass admitted that he calls him to return to Denmark because he misses his family and friends and although he was very satisfied with his career abroad, he admitted that after a decade he was beginning to consider going back.

“I have accomplished more than I dared hope when I left. I play for an important club in Spain and I have had more than 200 La Liga games, so on that front I think I have had a great career abroad and I still have it, “he said.

But ten years abroad is a long time for anyone. I have my wife and children with me, but, of course, I miss my brother, my mother, my father and my friends, ”he slipped.
