The Visa Cash App RB Formula 1 team presented this Friday the VCARB 01, its new car for the 2024 season, with the blue tone as the protagonist and a design very similar to the one mounted by the old Toro Rosso seven years ago, as revealed by the team at an event held in Las Vegas (United States).
The former AlphaTauri revealed its new machine with a “bright blue and white livery”, which will be the team's new main colours. Along with the drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo, the team CEO, Peter Bayer, and the new team boss, Laurent Mekies, from Ferrari, were present.
With the aim of “raising the bar” and placing itself “at the front of the grid”, Visa Cash App RB presented a car that does not leave visible, like most teams, the black of the carbon fiber visible, to recover the tones that characterized the team in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Specifically, the design unveiled in Las Vegas is very similar to the one Toro Rosso put together in its last year with that name, in addition to being very similar to that of Red Bull, its 'big brother'.
Despite the name change, the team maintains its two starting drivers, Tsunoda and Ricciardo. It will be the Japanese driver's fourth season in Formula 1, with a fourteenth place overall as his best result. In the other box, with rumors of big changes on the 2025 grid, the Australian wants to lay the foundations for his possible return to a champion team or project.
