Villarreal notices Marcelino’s touch and Sevilla cannot find Diego Alonso’s

The submarine beat Osasuna and the Andalusians fell to Real with red cards for Ramos and Navas

Betis fuels its European options by moving away from Las Palmas

MADRID, 26 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Villarreal beat CA Osasuna (3-1) this Sunday on matchday 14 of LaLiga EA Sports to make good the arrival of Marcelino García Toral, while Real Sociedad aggravated (2-1) the problems of Sevilla and Real Betis They got closer to the European positions at the expense of the same ambition of UD Las Palmas (1-0).

The Asturian coach, who took charge of the ‘submarine’ during the national team break, debuted in the Copa del Rey with a long-suffering victory in extra time against Zamora, but in La Cerámica, his booklet began to work. José Luis Morales, scorer of the two goals in the Cup, scored all three this Sunday, his best week of the year.

The ‘Comandante’ knocked down an Osasuna that had deserved more in the first half, to zero due to Jorgensen’s good saves, without the success of the former Levante player. Morales took advantage of Marcelino’s opportunity in the league eleven and the goals came in the second half. With the score at 1-0 in the 57th minute, the ‘red’ team began to struggle against a yellow team that was well together and looking for the counterattack.

Villarreal scored every shot, again with Morales doubling the score in a work of art. Jagoba Arrasate’s men cut back through Catena, but with Morales touched by Marcelino’s wand, the ‘submarine’ secured three points (15) to trust in the change of third with his third coach this campaign.

Meanwhile, Sevilla is tightening the relegation zone (12 points) after the seventh straight day without a win. Dmitrovic, with an own goal, and Sadiq put Real Sociedad 2-0 up, at the Reale Arena, in the 22nd minute. Those of Diego Alonso, who has been in Nervión for a month and a half without finding the key, gave away again and the Basques, without needing to shine, took advantage of it.

With the locals somewhat comfortable, Sevilla cut back through En-Nesyri, but Real had no problem raising the intensity and reaching the third through Kubo. In the end, Sergio Ramos was sent off and Jesús Navas saw another direct red card for protesting the action, the image of the collapse that points to the Uruguayan coach, Sevilla’s fourth in a year and perhaps not the last.

BETIS HITS FIRST AND HOLDS LATER

Furthermore, Sunday’s matchday ended at the Benito Villamarín, where the locals have not known defeat, with three points for the European spots at stake. Betis, who placed seventh, beat a Las Palmas team that forgave a lot with Willian Jose’s 1-0, especially at the end, against Francisco Vieites who, as the third goalkeeper, is becoming a Verdiblanco idol.

Isco was once again a beacon for the Andalusians, with flashes like the one that preceded the only goal of the match, a roulette and shot against Álvaro Valles that the Brazilian finished off in the second instance. Las Palmas took a risk with the ball and Betis punished it, with García Pimienta’s team in tow from the 20th minute.

The Canaries gained prominence in the second half, despite having the danger of Rodri and Abde as Betic replacements. However, the chances of Munir, Sandro, Kirian, Loiodice and Coco led Villamarín to chant Vieites’ name at the final whistle. Thus, Manuel Pellegrini’s men maintain the European pulse while the Canaries watch it from afar.
