Villarreal added three points to their locker after winning 2-1 against UCAM Murcia this Friday at Ciudad Deportiva Del Villarreal. Villarreal B arrived with the intention of getting back on the road to victory after suffering a 1-0 defeat in the previous game against Gimnàstic Tarragona. Regarding the visiting team, UCAM Murcia was defeated by 1-2 in the last game they played against Albacete. After the result obtained, the local team remained leader of the First RFEF, while UCAM Murcia occupied the sixteenth place at the end of the duel.
The match started in an unbeatable way for the Villarreal team, who released the light through a goal from Lozano’s eleven meters in the 21st minute, thus ending the first half with a 1-0 score on the scoreboard.
In the second half came the goal for UCAM Murcia, who put the tables thanks to the success of Charlie Dean in the 63rd minute in front of goal. But later, Villarreal B at 83 minutes advanced his team thanks to a goal from Diego Collado, ending the confrontation with a final result of 2-1.
The Villarreal coach gave entry to Diego Collado, Forés and Lanchi by Antonio Pacheco, Iosifov and Arana, while UCAM Murcia gave the green light to Tropi, Alberto Fernández, Johan, Diego Iglesias and Farrando, who came in to replace Mario Abenza, Manu Garrido, Chacartegui, Charlie Dean and Liberto.
The referee showed four yellow cards. The locals saw two of them (Migue and Pablo Íñiguez) and those of the visiting team saw two cards, specifically Manu Garrido and Chacartegui.
After the end of the match, Villarreal occupied the leading position of the competition with 34 points, in a position of direct promotion to the Second Division, while UCAM Murcia was positioned in sixteenth place with 16 points, occupying a place of relegation to the Second Division.
The team that played the game at home will face Algeciras on the following day, while UCAM Murcia will play against Cornellà.
