Villarreal B and Gimnàstic Tarragona share the points in a goalless match (0-0)

The match played this Friday at the Ciudad Deportiva Del Villarreal and between Villarreal and Gimnàstic ended with a goalless draw between both contenders. Villarreal B arrived with the intention of reaping another victory after winning away from home by a score of 2-3 against UCAM Murcia. With respect to the visiting team, Gimnàstic Tarragona achieved a one-one draw against Llagostera, adding a point in the last match of the competition. With this result, the Villarreal team was in second position, while Gimnàstic, meanwhile, is seventh at the end of the match.

In the first half neither team was successful in front of goal, so the first 45 minutes ended with the same result of 0-0.

Neither team managed to score in the second half, so the match ended 0-0.

In the substitution chapter, Miguel Álvarez’s Villarreal took over from Diego Collado, Forés, Ahn and Pablo Íñiguez for Iosifov, Arana, Lanchi and Lozano, while the Gimnàstic coach, Raúl Agné, ordered the entry of Robert, Édgar, Jannick Buyla, Elías Pérez and Albarrán to replace Jiménez, Fran Carbià, Bonilla, Pol Domingo and Del Campo.

Villarreal had to face the suspension of Lozano, Arana and Jackson with a yellow card and the expulsion of Jackson (2 yellow cards) with a red card, while the visitors suffered the suspension of Pol Domingo, Marc Trilles and Dani Romera.

After finishing the match with this draw, Gimnàstic Tarragona was in seventh place in the table with 43 points. For its part, Villarreal B with this point achieved, reached second place with 51 points, occupying a playoff place for promotion to the Second Division, after the match.
