Vilda: “Denmark is a level rival”

MADRID, 4 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s soccer team, Jorge Vilda, has assured that they are “with great desire and with all the energy” to face the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and has affirmed that this Wednesday they will have the opportunity to compete in circumstances similar to those that they will find themselves at the appointment when they face “a level rival” like Denmark.

“We continue with our preparation, now with the adaptation here we have cooler, rain and even wind, which is what we are going to find there. We have a level rival; we already faced each other in the Eurocup, we have faced each other before and we want to improve what we did in other games”, he pointed out in statements to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

On the conditions in which the clash will be played, the Madrid coach warned that they can serve as preparation for what they will find in the oceanic event. “The team has to adapt to the existing circumstances. There may be wind, the field may be dry, it may be wet, and that should not be an impediment to playing our game,” he stressed.

In addition, Vilda recognized that they are all “with a lot of desire and with all the energy.” “We are going to keep it. Yesterday we had a beautiful farewell to the RFEF at the Ciudad del Fútbol residence with the family and we have come charged with energy; we will all remember that day with great affection. Every day there is less for the debut and we are getting ready for that day,” he said.

IVANA ANDRÉS: “WE NEED TO GET A LITTLE MORE PHYSICAL”

For her part, the international Ivana Andrés has assured that little by little they are picking up “the tone of the season” to face the World Cup tournament with full guarantees. “Physically, we came on vacation and we have to continue getting good feelings. We’ve done a very good job these first two weeks but I think the team is still not 200% physically, which is what we’re going to need in the World Cup,” he warned.

“We need to get a little more physical, the tone of the season. On the 21st, when the debut arrives, we will have it. At the level of play, we are working on many things, the pressure, all the details that can help us in the game tomorrow and for that first match in Wellington,” he continued.

Thus, he stressed that they are preparing to “arrive in the best conditions for the World Cup.” “We played a good game against Panama, there were many goals. Denmark is also going to be a difficult and tough opponent, which is going to make things difficult for us; we have played against them in the past and we know it will be a very good game. to prepare for the World Cup”, he concluded.
