Vilda assures that her players “will not disappoint” against a “motivated” Australia

The Spanish women’s soccer coach, Jorge Vilda, assured that his players “will not disappoint” against an Australian team that warned that they will face “motivated” the friendly this Saturday at the Nuevo Colombino stadium in Huelva, preparatory for the European Championship in July In England.

Vilda expects a “motivated” Australia, which is in a great position in the world ranking and for this reason Spain will have to “work hard”.

In reference to the final call for the European Championship that he has to decide in a few days, the coach acknowledged that the players are making it “very difficult”, because in training “they enjoy and demand themselves to the fullest”, and pointed out that his idea is to make “a compensated list and trying to anticipate the situations that may arise”.

Regarding the objective that they set for the European Championship in England, he indicated that they are going to focus on the first game on July 8 against Finland and that for this they have “a good touchstone” both against Australia and on July 1 against Italy to arrive “in the best possible conditions”.

Asked about the state of form of forward Esther González, she explained that she arrived with an ankle ligament injury suffered in the Copa de la Reina semifinal and added that she made it to the national team with discomfort, although, after a first week in the of “adaptation”, has completed the last three trainings and will be available.
