Vieri: “Florentino is not a fool, the Super League is going to happen”

Christian Vieri has no doubts: “The Super League is going to happen. It is not today, but in the future it will be done”. The former footballer, speaking on Twitch, commented on the controversial outcome of the project, for which he still sees hope: “The clubs made a lot of mistakes in communication, but Florentino is not a fool, he knows what he wants even if there are disagreements between the teams.”

The former Atleti player sees clear the reasons why the project was born: “The greats, simply, do not want anyone to manage their money, period. They are the ones who pay and add the debts, the top clubs in the world do not need UEFA to manage their businesses”. Vieri also criticized soccer institutions: “Every two years someone from FIFA or UEFA is arrested. I'm not saying it, it's news from the newspapers.”

The Italian believes that the Super League will resume soon: “The 12 are still inside, as Florentino said, because there are binding contracts. They stopped to understand, reason and talk to each other, but I'm sure this is not dead yet. We are talking about businessmen of the highest level: Madrid is the second most important team in the world after the Dallas Mavericks. “
