The daughter of Infanta Elena and Jaime de Marichalar made her debut this Monday on the set of The Anthill. It was her first television interview and it coincided with her 24th birthday, so the start couldn’t have been better: with cake and candles. The wink of Victoria Federica to the program of Pablo Motos There is no other explanation than the producer, who shares it with The Challenge and that has made her the star signing of the new season, which premieres in January. But we must admit that Froilán’s sister has been generous and beyond her challenges in the contest captained by Roberto Leal, she has also talked about her family, her childhood and even her worst obsessions: “I can’t have scabs and I pick them off. My legs are covered in scars, they take a long time to heal but I don’t care.”
Victoria does not know anonymity and although her origin prevents her from doing certain things that other young people of her age do enjoy (“If nobody knew me, the first thing I would do is take a walk alone around Madrid”), she stays with the positive side of the situation: “From the minute I was born, I had two bodyguards behind me. They were part of the National Police Corps and accompanied me until I was 18. I dealt with it well, although I was a little overwhelmed as a teenager. But I adored them and to this day I still have a relationship with them and we try to see each other.”she said. “The first time I went out without them, I called them on reflex to tell them where I was and they said, ‘No, we’re not here anymore.’ I miss them.”
She recalls that as a child she wanted to be a teacher (“like my mother”), although she admits that she was not the best student: “I wasn’t the worst either, but maths was difficult for me.” Her pranks also caused her some trouble: “All children have been punished, in England is where I was punished the most. There was a director of the inmates and we didn’t get along very well and I would play jokes with her… For example, she always had her dog locked in her office and I would let him out so he could roam freely.”
His best memories, however, are in Mallorca with his cousins: “We have been sailing since we were very young. My cousins used to do it in Palma and I have tried to continue with it”he confessed. “In fact, I’m just coming back from the America’s Cup races. I’ve had a great time and I would love to be part of a crew and compete one day.”
