The general secretary of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), Victoria Cabezas, has been re-elected this Friday as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) for the 2025-2028 period during the 54th General Assembly of the Continental Institution, which is being held in Frankfurt (Germany).
Heads, which is present in the German town together with the president of COE, Alejandro Blanco, and the director of Activities, Cayetano Cornet, has received 41 votes from the 49 possible, which will allow him to fulfill his second period as a member of this body.
Victoria Cabezas is part of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees since 2021. In addition, the General Secretary of the COE is president of the IT Commission and Digitalization of the EOC, as well as president of the Sustainability Commission of the National Olympic Committees Association (ACNO).
In this way, the structure of the EOC Executive Committee is made up of Spyros Capralos (GRE), Daina Gudzineviciute (LTU) and Peter Mennel (Aut) as president, vice president and treasurer, respectively. In addition, Carlo Mornati (ITA) becomes the new general secretary replacing Raffaele Pagnozzi, who had been in the position for 19 years.
