Vicente Moreno’s victory

Football is a matter of taste, although in victory all trends always converge and come together. For some, the football of counterattack and vertigo of Jose Antonio Camacho it was better than Joan Francesc Rubi recently or Espanyol de Ernesto Valverde It was more colorful than the one of Michelangelo Lotina, but all of them are remembered that they gave titles or, at least, European classifications in unforgettable seasons for one reason or another.

The same happens at the moment with Vicente Moreno, the sixth coach in the history of the entity with the highest percentage of victorias (52,31%), curiously surpassed by David Gallego (52.38), Rafael Iriondo (55.56, who also led the team in Second in 69-70), Englishman Jack Greenwall (58.49), his compatriot Harry Lowe (66.67) and Francisco Bru (71.43), who only led the team seven games.

The extraordinary figure of the Valencian coach is due to the great course in LaLiga SmartBank, where the blue and white team won the title with a record of points in their history, although in the First Division at the moment their numbers are on par with other illustrious coaches of the last times. The best of the 20th century is Luis Fernández, architect of the miracle of salvation in 2004, with 42.86% of victories.

Gallego achieved 38.46% (the Europa League helped him to achieve better global records), with Paco Flores as third place (37.04) with very little advantage over Rubi (36.84 and Miguel Ángel Lotina (35.53%). We have to lower the figures until we find Mauricio Pochettino, with 33.56%, by 33.33% of Moreno. In the lower zone of this century are Ernesto Valverde, with 32.89%, Quique Sánchez Flores (32.39%), Javier Aguirre (31.75%) and Constantin Galca (30.43%).

The worst figures correspond to the technicians of the descent. From 23.08% of Abelardo Fernández to 10% of Pablo Machín through 0% of Francisco Rufete, numbers he shares with José Manuel Esnal Mane or Juande Ramos. Moreno, who has an even more contract campaign left, remains for the moment in the average parakeet in First and in the upper part thanks to his campaign in Second.
