Ndidi underwent surgery and will be able to play again in June, Leicester manager Rodgers said. The midfielder missed the final playoff in Africa for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, in which Ghana knocked out Ndidi’s team, Nigeria.
Rodgers, who has coached Leicester since 2019, said: “It’s a shame for us but he’ll be ready for next season. He’s been a brilliant player since I came here.”
Ndidi signed for Leicester from Genk in January 2017. He has made 31 appearances for the ‘Foxes’ this season. Leicester, 10th in the Premier, visits Manchester United, 6th, this Saturday. Rodgers’ team will face PSV in the quarterfinals of the Conference League.
