Vélez achieves a tight victory against Tamaraceite (1-2)

Vélez played and won 1-2 as a visitor in last Sunday’s match at Juan Guedes. Tamaraceite entered the match with the intention of adding more points to their locker after drawing 2-2 in the last game against Ceuta. On the visitors’ side, Vélez had to settle for a goalless draw against Don Benito. Thanks to this result, the Veleño team is seventh, while Tamaraceite is eighteenth at the end of the duel.

The first part of the duel began positively for the visiting team, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring thanks to a goal from eleven meters by Zamorano in the 7th minute. Pablo in the 13th minute, allowing the 0-2. But later, in the 19th minute, the Canarian team got closer to the scoreboard through a penalty goal by Borja Herrera, concluding the first half with the score of 1-2.

Neither team managed to score in the second period, so the match ended 1-2.

In the match the referee showed a yellow card to the visiting team. Specifically, he showed a yellow card to Bocchino.

With this victory away from home, Miguel Beas’s team occupied seventh place with 42 points, while Pachi Castellano’s team was in eighteenth place with 21 points, in relegation position to the Third Division, at the end of the game.

The next day Tamaraceite will face Xerez Deportivo, while the Veleño team will play their match against San Fernando.
