Varane shuffles leaving in the summer

The continuity of Raphael Varane (27 years) at Real Madrid is in the air. The French defender ends his contract in 2022, he has not renewed and As of today, he is seriously evaluating the option of requesting a transfer next summer, as AS learned. The French defender will be 28 when this season ends and he believes it is time to try an experience in another football, probably in the Premier. He came to Madrid from Lens in 2011, when he was only 18 years old, which is why he has spent almost his entire career at the Bernabéu. If he now signs another long contract with the whites, his train of trying another league in the prime of his career would go away.

Madrid, for its part, is confident of being able to convince Varane, although they have decided that if the defense definitively communicates that he does not want to continue they will listen to offers for him. Next summer it will be moved, with the departure of several heavyweights, and the Frenchman was not initially one of those who were on the transferable list. However, in no case would they let him go free in 2022, because at his age they have time to make money for him in case he asks to leave.

Substitutes

In the white club they have suspected for months that Varane will ask to leave next summer. For this reason, the contacts with different defenders have been more aimed at looking for substitutes for the Frenchman than for Ramos, since the captain has on the table a renewal offer to which he has not yet answered definitively. In that sense, there are three names that are most liked in white offices: Alaba, Pau Torres and Koundé. They have already made an offer to the first one and their arrival is independent when leaving Varane, while the other two would be the candidates to invest the money that is entered through the French.
