Louis van Gaal makes the leap to the big screen. The Netherlands coach will star in a film about his own life. The Oranje coach has been followed by a camera crew for the past three years. The premiere will take place on April 11, 2022 at the Koninklijk Theater Tuschinski in Amsterdam and will hit theaters on April 14.
“It was an honor for me to contribute to a film about my life,” says Van Gaal of the film, which is being made by ‘Front Messaging’ creator Geertjan Lassche. “My image does not match the person I am. Unfortunately. You have to know me personally to see through that image. That is why I allowed a filmmaker for once. “
In the film, Van Gaal reviews his life, along with other international soccer stars. The Dutch coach is in conversation with Geertjan Lassche, who won the title of Journalist of the Year in 2020 in the Netherlands.
