One of the news this Monday at Real Madrid has been the new transfer that, foreseeably, Jesús Vallejo will live at Granada. It will be the third since he signed for the white team.
The central maño, who was already on loan in the Nasrid team during the second half of last year, will return to the orders of Diego Martínez in search of a year that, finally, will make him a starting player at Real Madrid. A role that he has been looking for since his signing in 2015 but that, for some reasons or others, he does not finish finding.
Good level in Germany
That was close to doing it in Germany, at the Eintracht in Frankfurt. In the Bundesliga he was one of the revelation players since, without even passing through Real Madrid, he settled wonderfully in a German elite team that, since then, has always fought his return. This helped him to earn a position in the defense of Zidane for the 17/18 season, but the injuries and the strength of the Varane-Ramos couple closed the door and opened it only after the remaining minutes.
Same result the following year with Lopetegui, Solari and, ultimately, again with Zidane. The Aragonese center-back could not find a way to take over the position and health did not accompany him, so it was decided again that the best thing for him would be a loan, especially after the arrival of Militao.
No options in the Premier
His destination then was Wolverhamptom, the Premier. A team, the Wolves, that usually plays with defense of three centrals but in which Vallejo did not finish convincing Nuno Espirito Santo that he barely had him. Seeing what happened, Madrid, Wolverhamptom and Vallejo unilaterally ended the loan to finish in Granada where, despite all the circumstances derived from the pandemic, it seems to have returned to its level.
Madrid, lacking financial resources, did not rule out its sale, but since no club was willing to pay what they demanded, the transfer has been the final result. So much so that this season, again under the Alhambra, Vallejo will seek to return to that footballer whom he aimed to be at Zaragoza and who led Madrid to bet on him for the future of their defense. A future for which it is not yet ruled out.
