Vallecas recovers its people

Vallecas is one step closer to recovering normality, its great atmosphere of yesteryear, that characteristic roar. The public returned to their stands 452 days later and thanks to this first playoff tie against Leganés. On Wednesday afternoon, the authorization of the Higher Sports Council arrived and this Thursday, in the morning, it was the Community of Madrid who gave the green light to the presence of a maximum of 1,500 spectators in the stadium.

El Rayo activated a digital platform for the purchase of tickets, aimed at subscribers of the 19-20 and at a price of 25 euros, with the aim that the team have its people on such an important event. This platform was enabled for about four and a half hours and generated different problems. What's more, dozens of red-haired followers came to the field to try to solve their incidents and put claims sheets because some had been charged and had not received the confirmation email.

The Madrid club apologized “for the technical problems in the data dump of the LaLiga platform that issued the entries “and reported that “those who presented the receipt at the office door would be given their ticket”. Despite these mishaps, 874 fans with their masks could be seen in the stands of Vallecas, cheering on those of Iraola and singing non-stop. There was a desire to return. And it is that the previous match with the public dates from March 8, 2020, a Rayo-Elche league, which finished 2-3.

This will be the first (re) encounter of Rayo with his fans, although you already experienced that feeling of playing with spectators in Castalia a couple of days ago. Something that not only the men's first team will experience, but also the women's team. Tickets for Rayo-Santa Teresa on Sunday are already on sale (Sports City, 11:30 am). There will be reduced capacity and Only the subscribers of Rayo Femenino (12 euros) and Rayo (15 €) of 19-20 will be dispatched in the security booth that gives access to the enclosure.

Girona, which put tickets from 10 to 20 euros, gathered 1,022 people on Wednesday in Montilivi to see their resounding victory against Almería. While Leganés has announced how it will distribute its 1,500 tickets in the second leg: 95% (about 1,425) will be for members free of charge and the remaining 5% (75) for commitments of the entity. Of that bulk of 1,425 localities, 80% will be awarded in order of seniority of the subscribers and the other 20% will be distributed, through a lottery, among the rest of those who have requested them.
