Valladolid became a new First team yesterday. The madness was unleashed in Zorrilla in full celebration for the promotion. Promotion in which Jon Morcillo has been a participant, the left-handed winger of Athletic who has acted on loan in the albivioletas ranks.
The Valladolid club itself collects a video on its twitter account in which Morcillo is seen playing the bass drum in the Zorrilla stands. Video that they complete with the following message: “Villalibre, Jon Morci says if you bring the trumpet.” The images of the bearded Athletic striker with his inseparable trumpet transcend beyond the Atletico area itself.
There is the added circumstance that Villalibre lived an experience similar to that of Morcillo. The Gernika striker was also loaned by Athletic to Valladolid when this team played in the Second Division (2017-18 season), but in his case the experience did not give the expected results. The now Atletico center forward, in fact, returned home in the middle of that campaign and left again on loan to Lorca.
