Valencia looks for air in Belgrade

MADRID, 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia Basket visits Partizan Belgrade this Thursday at the Stark Arena (8:45 p.m.), on matchday 11 of the Euroleague, in a duel between two teams submerged in a well from which they will try to get out, with some ‘taronja’ who also arrive depleted with up to four kills at this pulse.

It will be Valencia Basket’s first visit to Partizán at the Stark Arena and in the Euroleague. However, the ‘taronja’ already know what it is to win against Partizán in the past. Now, the truth is that both arrive with a negative balance of 4-6 and with negative dynamics that need to be changed.

The Valencians are having problems in the last clashes at an offensive level. In the Euroleague, they have lost to Zalgiris (76-80), Real Madrid (73-80) and Virtus Bologna (89-59), so improving scoring is key to attacking the Belgrade fiefdom.

Partizán is not doing well either, which has just lost a double acb duel against Real Madrid (105-97) and Barça (79-68). Valencia Basket seeks to join that Endesa League party, but the truth is that those defeats were at home and that, at home, Partizán has won, minus one, the rest of its games.

“In Belgrade you always know what you are going to find, the fans are squeezing from the first second. A team that is very solid at home, of the four victories they have won in the Euroleague, three have been at home. With a great point guard and exuberant like Exum, with two good scorers like Punter and Andjusic, with three generators like Nunally and Papapetrou”, highlighted the ‘taronja’ coach, Álex Mumbrú.

In addition, Valencia Basket arrives in Belgrade with the absence of Klemen Prepelic, due to back discomfort, and in addition to the casualties of Sam Van Rossom (operated on his right knee on Tuesday), Millán Jiménez and Martin Hermannsson. On the contrary, a Guillem Ferrando will be in Belgrade recovered on Monday from his loan.
