The future of Robert Moreno in Granada hangs in the balance after falling in Mestalla against Valencia. They are nine days without winning and without a victory that stops the free fall in LaLiga of the Nasrid team, each time closer to relegation and with its coach more in question than ever.

THE BEST Valencia’s reaction after a bad first half | |
WORST The lack of aim ended up sinking Granada |
It’s not that Granada played a bad game. In fact, he had great opportunities to hurt a Valencia team that initially suffered from a cup hangover, but reacted in the second half to sink the Andalusian team. Nothing goes right in the Nasrid team and the change of coach seems almost inevitable to find a reaction that does not come from the hand of Robert Moreno.
During the first half it seemed to be Valencia having the black. Three minutes later, Toni Lato had to retire injured after noticing a puncture in his thigh. The winger paid for the efforts made in the Cup semis while his teammates could barely survive against a good Granada.
Moreno’s team jumped onto the field determined to change their dynamics and took advantage of the local empanada to generate danger. Luis Milla had the clearest with a shot that went over the crossbar, certifying that it was Granada who had the singing voice in the first act.
The Nasrid team had failed to express their superiority and football returned it cruelly as soon as the second half started. Guedes, a hero who put Valencia in the Cup final, completed his fantastic week by heading in a great cross from Carlos Soler (48′). The Valencia captain would find another head, that of Maxi Gómez, to increase the income of a Valencia that had already lost its hair (51′).
Granada did not fall apart and was able to close the gap thanks to a good play by Myrto Uzuni that ended with Jaume Doménech scoring an own goal (56′).
There was more than half an hour left to play and everything was open, however Maxi’s roguery blew up the game. The striker looked for the clash with Torrente and he ended up inadvertently running over the Argentine. Debatable penalty that allowed Soler to put more shine on his afternoon by adding the goal to his two assists (62′).
It was already too much for Granada, who could leave the Mestalla thrashed. The defeat, yes, leaves Robert Moreno in the ICU and with his future hanging in the balance.
